Church Extension Fund's New Logo!

Church Extension Fund is now in its 118th year! On June 18th, 1901 an industrious and faithful group of Michigan Lutherans began what is now Church Extension Fund!

In the spirit of celebration, we would like to reveal our new logo! CEF has had many logos over the years, and this is one that will carry us into future ministry! We thank God for his continued blessings of the ministry of Church Extension Fund as well as the ministries throughout the Michigan District that we support! Praise Be To God!

The idea was to use simple graphic elements to tell the CEF story in a subtle and symbolic way. Every element of the graphic has meaning and helps to capture the essence of the organization.

The key visual is a series of vertical shapes which hint at a bar graph and form a structure resembling a church. The combination of these visuals in this way is a perfect representation of the two basic services provided by CEF and how they interact in a mutually beneficial way.

The elements of the bar graph are silhouetted by the state of Michigan, representing the geographic location of our business. When all the elements of the logo are combined it shows a cross, which demonstrates CEF's clear message of how investors and borrowers are helping to build God's Kingdom in the state of Michigan.

The dark blue and green color scheme and contemporary sans serif typeface give the logo a modern, updated look and feel.

This logo will become more prominently displayed in the weeks and months to come.
